Welcome to Café het Molenpad
Since decades, Café het Molenpad is famous among “Amsterdammers”. It is the place to be on the Prinsengracht for lunch, drinks and dinner in a laidback, authentic, what the Dutch call “gezellig”, atmosphere. Located just around the corner of the “Nine Streets”, het Leidseplein and the Jordaan area.
We are proud of our mix of guests: from locals that come by to enjoy one of our specialty beers and theater visitors that want to enjoy a quick but delicious dinner, to large groups that sit down for a full dinner with good wine.
If weather permits it, you can sit on our sunny, canal side terrace enjoying the view, the passing boats and all the good we have to offer. And if you are the lucky owner of a boat you can dock your boat and we serve you on board.
We serve food all day. We offer a delicious lunch with richly filled sandwiches and salades, fried eggs or omelets, typical Dutch croquettes and other delicacies.
If you are feeling peckish, we serve traditional Dutch barsnacks such as “bitterballen” and several tapas to eat with one of our speciality beers or a glass of wine.
In the evening we serve dishes for each appetite. Platters to share (or not), well-filled salades and small or large portions of pasta. For the large appetite we serve classic eatery dishes like hamburgers and chicken satay and daily seasonal meat, fish and vegetarian specials.
